About

Since 2013, Sami Lane has worked as a freelance Creative Director, collaborating with brands, authors, and companies to bring ideas to life across multiple disciplines. Her work spans brand strategy, logo and identity design, print and book design, live event production, lifestyle and event photography, and presentation design for agencies, production companies, and startups alike.

Sami’s portfolio includes collaborations with Nike, Lululemon, W Hotel, and other globally recognized brands. She has designed four New York Times best-selling book covers and crafted presentation decks that have supported multi-million-dollar pitches—including one for a startup that was later featured in Business Insider (2021).

Across every project, Sami brings the perspective of a Creative Director who sees the full brand story—not just the deliverables. Her role is to guide vision, ensure cohesion, and create work that feels both strategic and human.

Design Thinking

Great design isn’t just about how something looks—it’s about how it works, feels, and connects. My approach to design thinking is rooted in clarity and flow: understanding the people you’re trying to reach, the story you’re telling, and how every visual and verbal element supports that experience.

In practice, this means:

Defining the problem, not just the deliverable – ensuring every asset serves a bigger purpose.

Mapping the brand journey – from first impression to lasting impact.

Creating systems, not just pieces – so your brand feels cohesive across every platform and moment.

Translating vision into execution – bridging the gap between “big idea” and the final, polished product.

It’s not design for design’s sake—it’s design that moves, resonates, and lasts.
